About the Journal

Epidemiological Studies in Food Science (ESFS) is a peer-reviewed, open access scientific journal that explores the usage of epidemiology for advancements in food science. This journal, published by the Food Science Publisher, focuses on the usage and importance of epidemiological studies in showing the efficacy of functional food products in a general population. It is a useful resource to individuals looking for new and developing information on the role that epidemiology has in food science. This research can be beneficial to doctors, other researchers, medical professionals, students, and the general population that are seeking information in this field. Epidemiological Studies in Food Science is a relevant and interesting field that requires a specialized location where information regarding the topic can be found.

Epidemiological studies are important for looking at the overall trends of health diseases to find a solution to control them. This can be applied to our studies of food science because we can analyze the general trend of a certain food and its association with the prevention of the disease of interest. Epidemiological studies can take the form of three designs, depending on the main focus and the groups being analyzed: cross-sectional, case-control, and cohort studies.

In this journal, we hope to provide a space for information regarding epidemiology in food science. This can help our understanding of the impact of a certain functional food product on a population. It is crucial to provide legitimate information and support to further advance the role that functional food plays in health promotion.
